A Quilter's Day Book

A Quilter's Daybook for March 12th, 2009

for today, March 12th, 2009 ...
Outside My Sewing Room Window...my favorite flower is all a bloom. the white climbing rose grows as it wishes along my back fence...

I am thinking...about all the things i have to do before the birthday on saturday. we're going with a blue & green theme.

I am thankful for...a husband who can do just about anything so i don't have to hire carpenters, plumbers, or electricians. and i am thankful for my in-laws who raised a wonderful man and taught him to be self-reliant and hard working.
I am grateful for...my sister who is such an amazing auntie and who is so involved in our lives.
One of my favorite things... is this sewing bag that i made probably 8 years ago. it was the hardest pattern to read, but it turned out sew stinkin' cute and it gave me the idea for my business name.
I am working on...actually, i'm not 'working' on anything today, other than getting things ready for the party; however, i did pull these projects out to get them finished for easter.

I am looking forward to...getting my house back in order. the past couple days bob has turned the house upside down painting it and putting in a new door and other odd ball things that have been neglected. needless to say, it's a HUGE mess!!! there is no place to put things in a small house and well, my kitchen looks like...well, let's just say...it doesn't look like a kitchen...
On the Longarm is...rosemarie's quilt. i loaded it yesterday with good intentions.
A tip from the sewing room... if you don't have these, you must get them the next time your out. seriously, it saved my most favorite apron the other day. i bought the cutest apron from the quilt shop and when i washed it the red trim bled and bled. ahhh! i stuck it back into the wash, threw in a sheet of one of these babies and wa-la good as new! fabulous!

I thought I'd share...this book with you.
i LOVE this book. it is full of little notes and recipes.
and the quilts are some of my favorites!

hope yours was a grand sort of day!!!

I just love those flowers. I can't wait till ours start blooming. I have tulips coming up all over the place. I am so with you on getting your house in order. Ours is such a mess since we have so many sign jobs going and then my mom gave us the new computer. So I am off to get organized before I go crazy! Have a great day!
