The Older They Get...

the harder it is to engage them in the traditional easter egg hunt
so this year, as promised (and masyn wouldn't let us forget it!)
we held a flashlight easter egg hunt at auntie's...

uncle played easter bunny and hid 100 or so eggs in the backyard at sundown and as soon as it was dark enough, we let them out, baskets in hand in search of the 'money filled' eggs {there are only a few)... }

{note to suz & self: we need to find a big golden egg and put a $20 in it. have abu hide it good and let the older ones at it. although there will have to be rules and a ref... no pushing, no tripping and no stealing!}

I enjoy having my sister and her family so close. love you guys!

Easter Memories...

*sissy and heidi (sissy's roommate) came home for easter
*nolan LOVED the egg hunts. not because he got eggs but he loved
the excitement of running around.
*parker was on crutches because he had foot surgery last wednesday.
he was feeling pretty good thanks to his meds.
*in the top right picture of the last collage, aunt carrie was helping masyn
hold onto all her eggs. she put a couple in her top. masyn thought that was funny.
*i was forced to sit down and watch the movie blind side...what a fantastic movie!
*aunt carrie cut gavin's hair
*it's not a far walk to nana's...

A Little Easter Gift

i made this little guy up and recently posted a small picture...

in which, stina asked about it. i drew up a quick and VERY informal pattern and emailed it all the way to sweden.
and what do you know, she's already whipped it up. here's hers!

if you too would like this quick little quilt pattern, let me know and i will email it all the way to you, too!

Happy Easter!
