A Quilters Day Journal...

{i've been inspired by jen's simple woman's daybook posts and thought i would start my own version and share with you what's going on in my sewing room. enjoy}

A Quilter's Daybook for March 5th, 2009

For today, March 5th, 2009 ...
Outside My Sewing Room Window...i can smell the sweet scent of jasmine. spring is coming...
I am thinking...about all the things i want to be working on but i need to focus on the things that need to get done.
I am thankful for...the opportunity to do something i love for my 'job', while staying home with my children.

I am grateful for... a husband who works so hard so our children can have their mom home.

One of my favorite this jar of yo yo's. i bought these at a yard sale years ago for $3.

I am working on... this pattern for my class

and these little easter blocks, i've got one more block to do then i can make the wall hanging.

and finally, i am trying very hard to put aside time each day to get these siggy blocks done for the block swap going over at cootie bug 2. i'm getting there!

I am looking forward to...making a quilt with this fabulous fabric.
i'm getting a pattern today that is easy and cute!

On the Longarm is...another version of the second hand clothes pattern. (can you tell that it's being taught at the quilt shop. i think i have one more in line.)

and look how cute her label is. LOVE it!!!

A tip from the sewing room...actually comes from anne from bunny hill designs. a group of us are working on the bunny hill blocks of the month and i had one gal ask me about the bias tape makers. anne has a great tutorial for making the handle.

I thought I'd share...this book with you. i found it at joanne fabrics several months ago and i LOVE it! it is full of sew many wonderful projects, i don't even know where to begin. enjoy the photos.

have a wonderful day!

Love your "A Quilters Day Journal" - what a great idea and great look. I too adore Tilda Books - have you seen "Crafting Christmas Gifts" and Crafting Springtime Gifts - just right for Easter?

Great idea...I have been to the daily thingy and never thought of directing it to quilting. Let's see how else could one use it...mmmm One could get into trouble with this one.

The cupcakes are deliziose. I wish I could sew but I purchased "sew pretty homestyle" and mail it all the way to Sicily to my sister-in-law. Ciao Rita

Oh, I enjoyed reading this journal. I've participated in the regular Simple Woman's DayBook before and like this idea even more. I can't remember where I found your link, but today is my first visit. :)
