After I saw my sisters thumb and her teeth, she was the only one of siblings who sucked thumb...I made sure to give my daughter a binkie and the dentist was happy too, remember that you cana take a blinkie away, not the thumb!!! MHO!!
I think thumb sucking is fine. I had a few and I thought it was great, actually. I know that might sound like bad parenting but I don't think it is any worse than a pacifier.

So cute! My last did that too and it was adorable (and more convenient than a pacifier--they never lose it lol)
