A Quilter's Day Book

for today, Friday, June 12th, 2009
Outside my sewing room window...
the kids are painting the beehive for the teddy bear tea party. the little princess informed me that we have to paint the back, as well, because when your inside the grass area you'll see the back and she doesn't want it to be ugly! (the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree...)

and look...a bee came to our hive!

I am thankful...i have a husband who is willing to take the kids for the weekend to let me get some needed time alone!

On the longarm...is a graduation gift (lucky girl!)

I am working on...so much i wouldn't be able to download the pictures! i'll give you a tour on tuesday when everyone else comes over. i did finish stitching one of the many drawings that were made for me by the little princess. this one was especially cute and was small enough to fit into this empty frame. so cute!

One of my favorite things...is this quilt. it has sentimental meaning. two very important women have put there labor of love into it. fudgie, embroidered the pictures with her machine and jill finished it for me. i love it and i love them!

I thought I'd share...this pillow that kathy made. how stinkin' cute is this with the hexagons!

A tip from the sewing room...don't bite off more than you can chew. one project at a time! LOL

i hope you have a great day!!! i'm going away for the weekend. just me and my mom, quilting all weekend with no kiddos!!! yeah! (you can't see me, but i'm singing and dancing and clickin' my heels!)

The beehive looks wonderful and I love how your little girl had to paint the back.
I so agree that husbands are wonderful when they will help out with the kids. Also with starting one project at a time, I wish I would have read that five projects ago.
I hope that you an your mom have a great quilting weekend.
