Organizing Fabric

with a move on the horizon, i have been searching the web for ideas on how to organize my sewing room more effectively. let's be honest...parting with any of my fabric, is just not an option!

while in my quest, i ran across these fabic organizers.

they would fit nicely on a shelf, as well as, in a file cabinet.

do you have any great ideas? please share, i need all the help i can get!

I have these organizers, and I love them! I roll 3 or 4 different fabrics on each sleeve, folding the corners down at the end to show each color progressively. That way I can get more fabric wrapped with fewer sleeves. I love them!!

Those organizers are really cool, but I can't imagine how much room they'd take up. I used Happy Zombie's fabric folding method and it worked really well. That was over a year ago and my fabric has stayed pretty neat and stacked -- I love it!

Those look great Julie! I just have mine stacked in clear plastic boxes. As you know we are in the middle of a big move now as well. When I lost my job and our home went with it, I was devastated, but am now getting my head around it and looking forward to being back in our old stomping grounds. I will worry about finding a job when we get there!
