Lemon Cupcakes

we had our joseph smith quilt class last night and i wanted to bring a tasty treat.
it needed to be fall'ish, but still summery (as the weather is not quite cool yet...)
it needed to be made quickly (it was 4pm when i decided to make something and class was at 7pm)
it needed to be yummy, but not too yummy...i'm watching my weight, so to speak and i didn't want to be tempted.

glancing through the pantry, i found my son's fAvORite box of lemon cake mix.
i don't particulary care for lemony treats, i'll eat them, but i knew i would be able to pass.
with a quick trip through my sewing room, i had everything i needed to make a tasty treat that met all the requirements.

gotta LOVE cupcakes!
gotta LOVE quilting!

You're wrong about them not being TOO tasty----because they were.:) Thank you so much! Not a huge fan of cooked fruit things either, but I LOVE lemon cake and cake-type products. You make them so amazing too. :)
