Her FIRST Quilt

oh my gosh, i'm soooo exicted!

my niece likes QUILTING!
thursday was our sewing day and i taught my niece and masyn how to make this really cute picnic quilt. we got the whole top done during evyn's nap time. seriously!
mackenzie did such a great job at keeping her 1/4" seam. i was so proud!!! masyn sewed a few pieces together and then got bored so i finished the rest. i can't wait to quilt them next week and show you both quilts.

way to go kenz! love you.

Can't wait to see the finished quilts! They look so pretty all ready! It's so much fun to share an interest with someone you care about!

Teach masyn to make a "burrito" pillow case...Jill knows how! She can also make a lined totebag and a FQ apron! I teach those to the girls in Sewing Camp! Quilting for younger kids is not "instant gratification" for the them! What's that mean? They get bored faster! LOL Since Masyn is younger she will be more adept for the sewing projects. There are also patterns on MANy blogs for elastic waist skirts for the girls to sew!

Loveyou, love me! BTW the end of July we will take the kids home and I will come see you!

How fun! I don't think there's much better than teaching girls how to sew. Can't wait to see their quilts!

It is so important to teach what we know to younger girls. That is how we share our talents the best!
