The Scriptures...

that's what the topic of the lesson i had to teach today.
when i got the schedule, my immediate thought was, "how can i switch lessons?..."
apparently i thought out loud because shawn piped up and said,
"maybe there's a reason your teaching that lesson..."
i hate when he's ALWAYS right!!!

with some searching, i found this AWESOME video that i downloaded and played,
as well as, this great address from Pres. Ezra Taft Benson,
that said what i was feeling so much better than i could have.

of course, no lesson is complete unless you have a treat.
i packaged almond joy bars with a label that reads,
"i have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth"
3 john 1:4

i know Heavenly Father finds no greater joy than knowing we love the scriptures. as a parent there is nothing more comforting than knowing my children have the words of God available to them and that they find joy and truth in those words.

I'm sad I missed your lesson. I was sitting outside with a little baby boy :) I did, however, get to en"joy" your little treat. How do you have time for such things? Stressing, just a tad, for when Personal Progress activities hit for me! I have had a nice break.

Hi Julie...
I had to smile when you said that you wanted to change your lesson after finding out what it was!...we all feel that way don't we?
Just like everyone else, i always learn more in the preperation than i think i ever teach anyone in the lesson...
the treats are fun and i like how you used scripture that tied in with the lesson...
i love the scriptures and use them often in my quilt designs...i feel that there are no better words to say what i try to express in my quilts.
Have a great day,
Lori
