Nope, you aren't. When my kids were younger and I was driving to sports practices I brought English paper piecing to do at stop lights. I made a Grandmother's Flower garden quilt and called it "Going Nowhere Fast."
You may be the only one with an actual project in your lap, too funny, just keep a project in the car in case I'm stranded. Who cares if there's nothing to eat as long as I can sew.
I keep a book in the car for stop lights, waiting at the bank or Dunkin Donuts, never thought of a project ... that's brilliant! I know just what I'm going to do to. Why didn't I think of that.

I always have something, but not on my lap. I might miss the light changing if I got into my projects!!

i carry a project with me everywhere, usually never actually work on it but i need to have it with me for the just in case time...
No, you're not - there are so many 'dashboard sewing projects' in my past. LOL
