{i can't believe i'm going to post this, but it's WAYYYY too funny not to}
yesterday, as i was changing evyn's diaper and getting the children ready to leave, nolan and gavin walk in...
nolan says {out of NO-WHERE}
"i'm proud of you mommy"
i reply, with an "ahhh, why?"
he firmly states. "because, you got boobies!"
WHAT THE HECK!
gavin starts busting up!
i start laughing.
nolan can't figure out what all the commotion is about.
he smiles. he's SO proud...
now.
two things.
obviously this is a NO PICTURE post. which is unheard of.
and most importantly, does anyone else have a three year old that hasn't gotten over the boobie thing. for crying out loud i haven't nursed him since he was 15 months old.
a couple weeks ago, masyn planned a fancy sunday dinner. and if you know masyn your not surprised...
she had bub bring the tables down, she decorated, made centerpieces, helped daddy plan and fix a 3 course meal, dressed nolan and evyn and even had dancing.
we came home from church today to the light tapping of piano keys. evyn and daddy weren't feeling well so they stayed home, evyn was happiest sitting at the piano "singing" and playing a sweet tune. daddy was happy to lay down on the floor while she played.
last week was teacher appreciation week. i made these oreo cookie apples with the pennants and tags from the printables offered through how does she.
a couple notes...the mini oreos were realllly hard. i ended up using the regular ones and found out that i should have used the double stuffed and also, i found out that you can't use food color to color the white candy melts. UGH!
masyn drew this cute picture for the best teacher ever!
i have a VERY talented friend who gave me a great idea for nolan and evyn's room.
here are some sneak peeks at some of the projects...
let me just say that the ORIGINAL plan looked NOTHING like the photo above. it was SUPPOSE to be a simple painted project that i could complete on my own. um. yeah. shawn took over my project. but with that said, it will be FAR better than my mediocre attempt.
funny nolan story... today i painted the space in this last picture. when nolan finally noticed it he came running to me telling me that i needed to "come quick". i couldn't quite understand his story. something about "not liking the pluggers". what the heck are pluggers?! in any case i needed to come to his room quick because he "DID NOT like the pluggers". they are ugly and he didn't like the colors and he was "mad".
yep, the outlet is now called the "pluggers". lucky for him, i can fix the ugly pluggers.
