masyn & her friend, brooklyn got baptized together!
what a special day it was for both of them and us, their parents.
it was a simply perfect day!

The Makings of a {County Fair} Birthday

have you seen this party from one charming party?
it was the inspiration for masyn's 8th birthday.



with days of preparation,
invites went out...


props were made...

banners were hung...

the tabel was set...

games were ready...

masyn's {to-do} list was complete
(which included a horseshoe pit made, lights draped in the tree and this)

bandanas were hung, along with the quilts

and many tablecloths were sewn. some for the tables and some to use as covers for the desired bails of straw.
{speaking of which...thanks keith, the cookies are comin', i promise!!!}

just a couple thoughts...
i know that the Lord comforts us in all things. i am grateful for the inspiration that he provides me (ususally in the middle of the night). it may sound silly, but one of my biggest concerns was the table cloth and i was so happy and relieved to have come up with the idea for the ruffled burlap tablecloth. i am especially thankful to my dear friend margi for letting me borrow her machine and ruffler. i LOVE that thing!!! also, i have had an idea for a while to create "dessert centerpieces" and i was super happy to have been given the opportunity to do it. i was able to create some fun cupcakes. but the point that i really want to make is that some times things don't come together for many different reasons but when i'm doing something beautiful in the eyes of the Lord, he always blesses and inspires me. i am grateful for my Heavenly Father and for the comfort and strength he gives me. i am grateful to have been part of jewels adoption and i am so very happy for the entire family. what a blessing this entire process has been. we can only thank the Lord and trust in Him in all things and know that with faith all things are possible.
