he is hiding for fear he will meet an untimely death, as did his sweet sister yesterday...

i know what your thinking. it's natural for a bird dog to kill birds.
i understand this.
but just cuz it's natural, doesn't mean i like it.
in fact, i was NOT happy with said bird dog.

so for now, until my sweet babies take flight
he is banned to the backyard.

Scout Mondays

so...i have a new calling at church. i am officially the wolves den leader. i will whole heartedly admit that this is wayyyy out of my comfort zone.

after searching high and low for ways to make mondays fun for these cute guys, i decided that i would share my ideas, just in case, you too are a den leader in need of inspiration...

today we were fullfilling achievement 8.

we made chicken pot pie (the recipe is here)

after 14 long months of screaming every time her feet touch the water, evyn has finally decided that the bath is not so bad after all...

loads of fun! yeah!

Masyn's Very First School Project!

masyn was so excited to hae a school project just like the big kids. and being one of my most creative kids she knew exactly what she wanted. although we had to alter some things (like the "real bark" for the tree trunk) but we were able to incorporate her scripture and her fairy door.

thanks to auntie and the cricut, it wasn't too hard for her to put together. i think it turned out super great and she learned a lot about her family's history.
