Finding Christmas...
i'm having a hard time getting into the christmas {spirit} and it's bothering me...
i am happy to have come across this blog post by vicki at the city cradle.
not only are her pictures beautiful, but the message is even better.

not only are her pictures beautiful, but the message is even better.

she filled these mason jars up with christmas goodies and let the waves wash them away.
what a fantastic idea...letting someone find christmas washed up on shore.
i would love to find her jar on a nearby beach, wouldn't you.
sounds like a PERFECT family home evening and a perfect way to find that christmas spirit that seems to be missing.
Masyn & Paige
what a great day we had friday!
thanks to daddy, masyn, paige & i got to go to the park by ourselves!
the girls hula hooped, jumped rope, attempted handball, faced their fears on the fireman's pole and played in the sand.
i enjoyed our time and was thankful to have time just with her.
this is one of my favorite photos of her.
i just love it. you can see the joy in her eyes.

a GREAT isa
Halloween Festivites
the kids had a weekend full of halloween fun.
it started on friday when we went to the trunk or treat

saturday we went to the schools halloween carnival, enjoyed sweet treats, carnival games and cake walks. after we went to the local pumpkin patch. the kids played in the jumpee and nolan danced.

later that evening, daddy carved pumpkins with the kids.

on halloween we went trick or treating with family and friends.

i love traditions, i love having family near by and i love halloween!

Pumpkins, Pirates & Monkeys
Halloween by Masyn
do you remember this post?
if you've been wondering if shawn got the halloween decorations unpack for masyn, wait no more.
he didn't. he really couldn't, BUT his mom {nana} did climb up into the attic and found two bins and brought them over for her.
we love nana!
i did want to share masyn's halloween decorating.

with daddy's help, she made these ghosts.
{my mom gave us the cute sign}
she also had me buy cobwebs and had shawn and i put it up on the front porch.

i LOVED this one!
however, remington {our lab} helped himself to most of the lollipops.
